Come into the library during our regular business hours to fill out a registration card. Adults, 18 years of age and older, may apply for a Deer Creek District Library card by completing the registration card and providing two forms of acceptable identification that verify name and address (Photo ID & proof of address). You must live within the library district to receive a free card. Look up your address to find out if you are in or out of our library district.
Yes! Children and teens, between the ages of 5 and 17 years, may obtain a library card when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will provide the necessary address information and accept responsibility for minor’s checkouts. Youth card holders are issued cards valid for three (3) years from the date of issuance. Parents/guardians are responsible for activity on their children’s library cards.
Yes! Individuals who are outside of a library service area (non-resident) can get a Deer Creek District Library family membership for $225 per year.

Per the adopted Cards For Kids Expansion Act, a non-resident under 18 years of age (“minors”) may be issued a card, without payment of fee. A non-resident library card for minors must be countersigned by a parent or legal guardian to insure legal responsibility for borrowed materials.
A non-resident disabled veteran or their unmarried, surviving spouse may be issued a card, without payment of fee. The non-resident, unmarried, surviving spouse of a soldier killed in the line of duty may be issued a card. Proof of eligibility must be presented at the time of application for this card. These cards will be good for three years at which time proof of eligibility must be again presented to renew the card.
Items can be renewed by the patron through the Library’s online catalog, by phone, and in-person. The maximum number of renewals per item is two (2). Items that have a wait list cannot be renewed.
The Deer Creek District Library does charge a fee for overdue items. Fines and fees can be paid at the library’s checkout desk. Individuals may also use the RSAcat mobile app to manage a library account and pay bills. User accounts become blocked if outstanding charges exceed $5.00.
Patrons who damage or lose library materials will be charged a fee for each item. Items that are billed or lost may be returned. Patrons are responsible for overdue fines associated with these materials. Overdue fines shall not exceed $5.00 per item. Print items are automatically assumed at 30 days overdue. Audiovisual items are automatically assumed at 20 days overdue.
Items that are billed or lost will be charged to the borrowers library account. Fees are based on the type of item that needs to be replaced. Individuals may pay the fee billed to their library account, or bring a duplicate replacement of the item in new condition to the library for no additional fee.
