Donating to the general fund helps to support the daily operations of the library. General fund donations help the library to maintain a quality level of service. Unrestricted monetary contributions from individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations help the library maintain and expand collections, services, and programs.

Donations of Used Materials

BOOK DONATIONS

The Deer Creek District Library is grateful for your gifts! Staff at the Circulation Desk will accept donations during open hours. In accepting a gift of materials, the library reserves the privilege of deciding whether items donated should be added to the collection. The library accepts donated books and audiovisual materials with the understanding that items which are useful to the library collection will be retained and others will be handled in whatever way the library director finds appropriate.

If your donation is in honor or in memory of someone, the library can send an acknowledgment to the individual or their family.

GENTLY USED DONATIONS

We gratefully accept gently used items that support library programs and services, including:

• Children’s puzzles

• Craft & Cricut supplies

• Legos

• Magazines

• Perler beads and supplies

• STEM learning toys

• Tonie or Yoto items

Donations of New Materials

The library uses many everyday supplies. Donations of the following items are always appreciated:

• Disinfectant wipes

• Hand soap

• Multipurpose Copy Printer Paper

• Paper towels

• Packages of white 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper

• Rubber bands 1/2 x 1/8 

• Tall kitchen trash bags, 13 gallon

• Tissues / Kleenex

• Water softener salt
