Recycling program

June 7 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Recycling Program

Come to the Deer Creek District Library for a free program, Green Readers Storytime with the Ecology Action Center

How often do your kids throw items into the trash without ever thinking twice about it? This program will teach our youngest community members about the problems associated with generating too much waste, and how easily they can be a part of the solution by sticking to the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Children will learn about these concepts through the story Michael Recycles by Ellie Bethel, illustrated by Alexandra Colombo. To help reinforce, children will be playing a fun sorting activity and will leave with the knowledge of what is recyclable in our community.

After the program, we will also be repurposing a t-shirt by making it into a bag!

Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Summer Reading events are open to the public. You do not have to have a Deer Creek District Library card to attend.

**Bring your reading log to receive a special incentive and enter a drawing to win prizes.**
